Healing Garden

Original drawings for the new permanent wall design for ‘The Healing Garden’ for University Hospitals of Derby & Burton. The space is a reflective place and won a ‘Making A Difference NHS Award in 2019. The design is a fusion of an inspiration from taxidermy birds, surreal colours and the healing properties in nature. The work will be completed in Summer 2020
ICU Patient Garden

Large scale external wall installations create a beautiful and calm woodland specifically designed for patients recovering in the Intensive Care Unit. Influenced by the ‘Notice Nature, Feel Joy’ Gallery at Derby Museum & Art Gallery.
Khan
Orthopaedic Outpatients, University of Derby & Burton Hospitals Trust

This space takes inspiration from the natural history of India and taxidermy of tropical birds. Khan the tiger responds to lovely Nellie the willow elephant created by Emma Parkins. The murals of marigold blooms, mangroves and chameleons flow around the walls to create a surprising and unusual garden in a hospital setting.
Forget Me Not Garden

Working with Calke Abbey, the National Trust this special garden dedicated to NHS staff who have passed away feature ancient oak trees with butterflies and birds being formed in their branches creating a beautiful forest where there are surprising animals. Due to be completed July 2021 it is inspired by the natural history collection and site of Calke Abbey.
The Dove Suite

The Dove suite’ in Fetal Medicine department, UHDB hospitals is a calm space created for families to have both a place to be and to find an escapism in the work, the more you look the more you see. It is inspired by ‘The Forest of Birds’ installation at the ‘Notice Nature, Feel Joy’ gallery at Derby Museums and features hummingbirds living alongside a graceful dove.
